Mohave County Public Health Director meets with mayors, city managers

MOHAVE COUNTY – The three mayors and three city managers from Bullhead City, Kingman and Lake Havasu City met Tuesday, March 10 with Mohave County Public Health Director Denise Burley and Mohave County Epidemiologist Anna Scherzer to discuss the COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease). Kingman Route 66 Rotary Club’s March 6 speaker, Mayor Jen Miles (shown with club president Karen Brown), addressed the club on the state of the city. The Home Rule option has been approved every 4 years by voters since 1988. When it expires in 2023 staff recommends replacing it with a Permanent Base Adjustment. Miles noted the Rancho Santa Fe Interchange looks good and is expected to go to executive session in April with hopes of breaking ground by the end of the year. KINGMAN – Pioneer Country Events will be hosting a Gun & Knife, Coins & Collectibles Show on Saturday and Sunday, March 14 and 15 at Mohave County Fairgrounds, 2600 Fairgrounds Blvd. Hours are Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Food vendors will be on site. Kingman Powerhouse Kiwanis hosts scholarship dinner to support local youth

KINGMAN – Saturday, March 7, The Kingman Powerhouse Kiwanis hosted its scholarship dinner at the Club for Youth from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.
