Virus affects local tourism sector

MOHAVE COUNTY – The tourism sector of the economy is quite vulnerable to the coronavirus. Spring events that draw thousands of people to the tri-state area are being postponed if not canceled due to social distancing protocols and travel restrictions. Corwin road construction to impair traffic

BULLHEAD CITY – Starting Thursday, March 26, the northbound right lane on Hwy. 95 will be closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. while permanent signage is being installed for the Corwin/ Hwy. 95 signal. On the evening of March 31, the traffic signal will be activated. There will be extra traffic control and detours posted during final construction. Commercial laboratory confirms MOHAVE COUNTY (March 24, 2020) – The Mohave County Department of Public Health (MCDPH) has confirmed the first positive case of COVID-19, in the Lake Havasu City service area.  The individual, an adult, is not hospitalized at this time and is recovering at home. Jail continues to take steps to keep inmates virus free

MOHAVE COUNTY –  Mohave County Adult Detention Facility has been preparing and responding to issues involving the COVID-19 virus and is working to keep jail inmates and staff safe. Captain Don Bischoff, said that he and his staff have been working with the Mohave County Department of Public Health as well as the jail medical staff from Wellpath, the health care provider contracted for inmate health services inside the jail.
