City of Kingman looking to change zoning codes

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman Community Development Division has been working with Lisa Wise consulting for the past year to update the City of Kingman Zoning Code and expand the Downtown Historic Overlay District. The anticipated date of project completion is December 2020 or January 2021 and the city encourages public participation and input. Carroll pleads to multiple drug cases

LAKE HAVASU CITY – A local judge has broad discretion with regard to punishment of a Lake Havasu City man who is resolving separate drug cases through a plea agreement. 40-year-old Jamie Carroll pleaded guilty Tuesday to possession of dangerous drugs and possession of narcotic drugs. Prosecutor Doug Camacho said the convictions trace to seizures of almost nine grams of methamphetamine and four hydrocodone pills. Report card out on COVID-19 case positivity rate

MOHAVE COUNTY – Gyms, bars and some water business enterprises that have remain shuttered during the COVID-19 pandemic could get a reprieve Thursday. Mohave County has already met two of three benchmarks allowing them to reopen under various restrictions and regulations. “What we haven’t been meeting is the percent positivity number put out by the state. KINGMAN – Local state representative Regina Cobb is urging Kingman Mayor Jen Miles to rescind the COVID-19 mask mandate that has been extended to the end of this year.
