MOHAVE VALLEY – A Mohave Valley man told a judge last Friday that he killed his girlfriend early this year to end her suffering. Mohave County Superior Court Judge ordered a 13-year prison term for James Manker, 28. It was revealed during the sentencing hearing that Manker was severely disabled when he drove drunk and crashed a vehicle when he was a teenager about a decade ago. His friends told the Court that Manker struggled to live a normal life after the accident and his loneliness led to his relationship with Tina Stimmell, 56. LAKE HAVASU – Three Lake Havasu City residents had their criminal matters resolved during hearings last Thursday at the Mohave County Courthouse in Kingman. The harshest punishment came in three drug cases involving Michael-Shawn Boultinghouse, 37. Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle sent Boultinghouse to prison for 8.5 years. He was convicted of 2 narcotic drug related counts in a plea agreement that dismissed a mix of other charges. BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City Police arrested Devin Gene Monreal, 23, on a temporary felony warrant for attempted homicide for his involvement in Monday’s shooting at Lowe’s. According Bullhead City Police Department spokeswoman Emily Fromelt, on Monday, August 19 at around 4:40 p.m., Monreal was reportedly inside his white Saturn station wagon in the Lowe’s parking lot, in Bullhead City when four men in a white Dodge Dakota pulled up next to him. BULLHEAD CITY – After separate judges rejected two previous plea agreements deemed too lenient, a third plea deal has been accepted for a Bullhead City man who was charged in separate assault cases. Mohave County Superior Court Judge Rick Lambert also imposed a five year prison sentence for Luis Romero, 26 on August 7. Lambert told attorneys when he rejected a previous plea on July 23 that he would not approve any deal involving less than five years.
