Golden Valley man charged with multiple felonies, misdemeanor charges
GOLDEN VALLEY – Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) deputies arrested Larry Earl Edmondson, 23 of Golden Valley, for criminal damage, second degree escape, destruction to a jail, all felonies; marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia possession, both misdemeanors; and an active arrest warrant. Light jail time for couple who found suitcase full of cash
KINGMAN – The lesser involved defendant in the discovery of a suitcase full of cash was placed on probation and ordered to spend 30 days in the Mohave County Jail Friday. Mohave County Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle also directed Chrystal Himmelright, 41, to perform 40 hours of community work service. The judge and involved attorneys agree that Himmelright was less culpable than her co-defendant boyfriend Jeremiah Peacey. KINGMAN – A Fort Mohave woman charged with converting a check from a Bullhead City church where she previously served as treasurer hesitated during a Tuesday change of plea hearing at the Mohave County Courthouse in Kingman. Melissa Sistar, 42, expressed concern that the conviction could negatively impact her employment pursuits or involvements. Judge Doug Camacho called for a recess and left the bench so that Sistar could confer with defense attorney Benjamin Coltrin. Dad given time served for slapping disabled daughter
KINGMAN – An elderly Fort Mohave man who harmed his disabled daughter was released from jail Thursday following his sentencing hearing in Mohave County Superior Court. Dean Peters, 72, was sentenced to 72 days in jail and credited with having spent that many days in custody. Peters was arrested on June 25 after an incident in the 5900 block of S. Vice Mayor pleads ‘not guilty’ in theft case
KINGMAN – Bullhead City Vice Mayor Annette Wegmann pleaded not guilty to a felony theft charge during her arraignment in Mohave County Superior Court in Kingman Thursday. Wegmann was indicted in a “he said-she said” dispute regarding what happened to the contents of a condo during her previous employment with a property management firm. Wegmann issued a statement Tuesday professing her innocence, and expressing eagerness to clear her name as the case unfolds.
