BULLHEAD CITY – An attempted homicide investigation is underway in Bullhead City. Police Department spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said a woman was shot Sunday afternoon in the 1100 block of Zircon Road. The victim was flown to a Las Vegas hospital for treatment of her injuries. An unidentified male was arrested. No further details were initially provided

Amanda Boone, 37, told Mohave County judge Doug Camacho she prefers to start serving time to get it over with as soon as possible. Judge Camacho imposed the five-year prison term mandated in the plea agreement. A Fort Mohave man’s assault of a woman and a California man’s unrelated attack of a detention officer are detailed in a Thursday news release from the Mohave County Sheriff’s office. Agency spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said deputies responded to a disturbance call at an apartment complex in the 4100 block of S. Lynn Dr., at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. “Multiple reporting parties advised that neighbors were outside yelling and fighting,” Mortensen said. LAKE HAVASU CITY – The pandemic impacted closure of Havasu Fitness presents Lake Havasu City with an opportunity to fulfill its plan to operate its own municipal court facility.
