Ring campaign fate still undecided

BULLHEAD CITY – A pair of candidacy challenges has put Bullhead City Council member Tami Ring on a merry-go-round that’s been spinning all week. And the outcome won’t be known until Mohave County Superior Court Judge Lee Jantzen issues a decision sometime today, Thursday, April 30. Ring and fellow council member Kathy Bruck began the week as candidates seeking re-election in the August 4 primary. Both were was bounced from the ballot when the first lawsuit challenges were heard Monday and Judge Jantzen determined they were just short of the 307 valid nominating petition signatures required to qualify their campaigns….

Bullhead City resident dies from COVID-19; 8th death in Mohave County

MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (April 29 2020) The Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified this morning of the death of one of the previously identified hospitalized COVID-19 positive cases in the Bullhead City service area. This person was in the 65+ range. The individual was not epidemiologically-linked to another case and it was not travel-related. There are now 29 positive confirmed cases in the Lake Havasu City area, including three deaths, 65 in Kingman, with a total of four deaths there (including the three latest) and 11 in Bullhead City, including this latest death.  There are a total of…

Heroin, firearms seized in Bullhead City

BULLHEAD CITY – Law enforcement officers seized an assortment of drugs and weapons, and made an arrest in Bullhead City last Friday, April 24. Spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said detectives with the Bullhead City Police Department assigned to the Arizona State Gang Task Force (GITTEM) executed a search warrant at 6:50 a.m. at an apartment in the 1600 block of Havasupai Drive. “Detectives seized about one pound of heroin, one-quarter ounce of methamphetamine, a variety of pills, and a total of 11 firearms including a suppressor, Fromelt stated in a news release.
