MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Sheriff’s office handled separate shooting and jail suicide incidents in Kingman just two hours apart Thursday. Deputies responded to a report of a weapons offense at 1:00 p.m. in the 4500 block of N. GOLDEN VALLEY – A man wanted for multiple felony offenses was killed in an Officer-Involved Shooting (OIS) in Golden Valley. Authorities said Jason Henke, 42, Golden Valley, died of multiple gunshot wounds late Wednesday at a home in the 3600 block of N. Santa Maria Road. The Kingman Police Department is conducting an independent investigation of the shooting involving a Mohave County sheriff’s deputy. Police spokeswoman Jennifer Sochocki said the deputy developed information during an 11:15 p.m. traffic stop that Henke was at the N. Santa Maria Road residence. DOLAN SPRINGS – Two teenagers were killed when the quad they were riding was struck by a vehicle in Dolan Springs. The Mohave County Sheriff’s office responded at 8:30 p.m. Saturday to the incident at milepost 5 on Pierce Ferry Road. Acting sheriff’s office spokeswoman Sandy Edwards said the reporting party had advised that a white pickup truck crashed into a quad occupied by three riders. Edwards said medical personnel had already declared two 13-year-old girls dead at the scene before deputies arrived.
