LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu City police report the recent arrest of a man who allegedly possessed drugs when pulled over for a lane change violation in August. A police report indicated that officers located a zipper lock container near the dashboard of the vehicle operated by Jonathan Brown, 31. The report said that almost 36 grams of methamphetamine, a half gram of heroin, two narcotic pills and an assortment of drug paraphernalia was confiscated. Brown awaits arraignment on charges that include possession of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of narcotic drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Dave Hawkins

Senior charged with child pornography

LAKE HAVASU CITY – An elderly Lake Havasu City man faces possible life behind bars following the discovery of thousands of images of child pornography on his home computer. An investigation began in May when the Arizona Internet Crimes Against Children task force notified police that 35 files of child porn had been uploaded at a home in the 3200 block of Aztec Drive. A police report indicates that John Graves, 68, initially denied downloading the images when officers seized his computer and cell phone during an Aug. 5 search of his home. Timpson gets one year for misconduct with daughter

KINGMAN – A Colorado City man convicted of sex offenses involving his own daughter is going to the Arizona Department of Corrections. Samuel Timpson, 44, pleaded guilty to three sexual abuse charges and a single count of attempted sexual conduct with a minor. Authorities said Timpson took advantage of his 15-year-old daughter during the summer of 2016. BHC drug cases settled

BULLHEAD CITY – A Palm Desert, California man arrested in Bullhead City for drug offenses has been sentenced to the Arizona Department of Corrections. Mohave County Superior Court Judge Rick Lambert imposed a five-year prison term Friday, Nov. 20 for Hogan Marshall, 29. Deputy county attorney Jim Ferlmann told the Court that police seized 150 Xanax pills from Marshall, following an Aug. 5 traffic stop at 1882 Lakeside Drive. Ferlmann urged Judge Lambert to reject pleas for probation and order a prison sentence because of the defendant’s extensive criminal history.
