Prison ordered for Kingman drug dealer

KINGMAN – A 7.5-year prison sentence was ordered Wednesday for a Kingman drug dealer. The punishment imposed by Mohave County Judge Doug Camacho was stipulated in the plea agreement convicting 46-year-old Jesus Sanchez of possession of dangerous drugs for sale. Deputy county attorney Amanda Claerhout said officers executing a search warrant last Nov. at a home in the 400 block of Wilshire Avenue discovered the meth in the convict’s bedroom. Dave Hawkins

Police making progress in burglary, robbery cases

BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City police report progress in their investigation of small business burglary and robbery incidents that occurred within a short time span last month. Investigation resulted in the identification of suspects Matthew David Patrick, 18, and Anthony Robert Wartella. Bullhead City police department spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said Patrick and Wartella entered the Maverick gas station on Desert Foothills Boulevard on Dec. 14. KINGMAN – Kingman police say they don’t know why a local man targeted the Middle School on Detroit Avenue with Monday morning bomb threats. An investigation of the threatening calls at 7:00 and 9:00 a.m. led to the arrest of Manuel Molines. No explosives or suspicious devices were located on the school grounds. The 39-year-old with an extensive local criminal history was jailed for making terroristic threats and interference with an educational facility. Officials said Molines does not have children enrolled in the Kingman Unified School District and investigators are trying to determine his motivation. Dave Hawkins
