Man apprehended fleeing scene of accident

KINGMAN – Kingman police report the arrest of a local teenager who allegedly fled the scene after causing a traffic accident that injured others. Deputy Police Chief Joel Freed said officers responded to the incident at about 1:40 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16 in the 3200 block of Airway Ave. “Officers found that an all-terrain vehicle driven by a 32-year-old female and occupied by an 8-year-old male, a 4-year-old female and a 7-year-old female had been struck by a four-door sedan causing the all-terrain vehicle to roll approximately twice,” Freed said. “The driver and the two female passengers were ejected….

Dad sentenced to prison for dumping son’s body

KINGMAN – A Kingman man will go to prison for discarding the body of his teenage son. Jon Imes, 41, pleaded guilty Sept. 13 to abandonment or concealment of a dead body. Terms of the deal require Judge Billy Sipe to impose at least six months, and as many as two years in prison at an Oct. 13 sentencing hearing.
