LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Lake Havasu City Police Department has seen an increase in reports of thefts from vehicles throughout Lake Havasu City. These thefts have primarily occurred at night and are believed to involve vehicles left unlocked while parked in residential areas. The Lake Havasu City Police Department would like to remind citizens to secure their vehicles when leaving them unattended. KINGMAN – A Kingman man wounded by gunfire in an officer-involved shooting has been returned to Arizona for prosecution. 39-year-old Andrew Romero is held in the Mohave County Adult Detention Center awaiting trial. LAKE HAVASU CITY – A man who repeatedly fled police in Lake Havasu City Monday reportedly suffered fatal injuries in a collision with a large motorhome. KINGMAN – A Kingman man entered not guilty pleas during his Monday arraignment for first degree murder and other charges related to a deadly Jan. 26 traffic accident. Authorities allege that Juan Ortiz, 44, was fleeing pursuing law enforcement officers when the vehicle he was driving struck a civilian vehicle at the intersection of Bank St. and Northern Ave. The driver of the second vehicle, Sarah Bingham, 21, Kingman, died of her injuries.
