These thefts have primarily occurred at night and are believed to involve vehicles left unlocked while parked in residential areas. KINGMAN – A Kingman man wounded by gunfire in an officer-involved shooting has been returned to Arizona for prosecution. 39-year-old Andrew Romero is held in the Mohave County Adult Detention Center awaiting trial. LAKE HAVASU CITY – A man who repeatedly fled police in Lake Havasu City Monday reportedly suffered fatal injuries in a collision with a large motorhome. KINGMAN – A Kingman man entered not guilty pleas during his Monday arraignment for first degree murder and other charges related to a deadly Jan. 26 traffic accident. Authorities allege that Juan Ortiz, 44, was fleeing pursuing law enforcement officers when the vehicle he was driving struck a civilian vehicle at the intersection of Bank St. and Northern Ave. The driver of the second vehicle, Sarah Bingham, 21, Kingman, died of her injuries. GOLDEN VALLEY – Bullhead City and Kingman Police MAGNET detectives and Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) deputies arrested a couple after approximately 10,000 fentanyl pills and methamphetamine were seized. On Saturday, February 3 at 4 a.m., MCSO deputies pulled over a tow truck for a traffic violation in the area of Shinarump Drive and Oatman Highway in Golden Valley. An MCSO K-9 alerted on the vehicle indicating that illegal drugs were present. Deputies located about 10,000 blue counterfeit “M-30” pills containing fentanyl and approximately 13 grams of methamphetamine in a backpack located in the cab of the tow truck belonging to the passengers.
