KINGMAN – Kingman police are investigating a hit and run pedestrian fatality. Deputy Chief Joel Freed said the body of a man was found in the roadway of the 900 block of Beale St. in downtown Kingman at about 9:30 p.m. Friday, June 14.
The name of the 68-year-old victim is initially withheld.
“Investigators determined that the male subject had been struck by a west bound vehicle and possibly ran over by an additional vehicle,” Freed said. “At this time the suspected hit and run vehicle is unknown.

BULLHEAD CITY – A Bullhead City man who admits committing sex offenses involving two underage female family members will go to the Arizona Department of Corrections. A plea agreement for Raymond Medrano, 70, was entered before Judge Billy Sipe on June 13.

KINGMAN – The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) reports the June 11 arrest of a Kingman woman who allegedly fled the scene after striking two pedestrians with her blue Volkswagon before fleeing the scene the previous day. Deputies were dispatched at 6:00 p.m. on June 10 to the north Kingman area of Mallard Dr. and Dove Lane.

KINGMAN – Their pets fought first before the scrap spread to their elderly owners, one of whom shot the other about six weeks ago at the dedicated dog park at Lewis Kingman Park off Andy Devine Ave., in Kingman. That is the factual basis for a plea agreement entered June 12 in Mohave County Superior Court.

KINGMAN – Trial has opened in Kingman for a Meadview man accused of using his homemade dune buggy to ram the quad operated by his on-again, off-again girlfriend, resulting in fatality. John Stettler, 42, is charged with second-degree murder in the July 28, 2023 death of Sally Minard, 38, Meadview.
Prosecutor Amanda Claerhout and defense attorney Paul Amann agree that the defendant and victim endured a super tumultuous relationship that could turn on a dime. They told the jury that the rocky nature of the couple’s relationship would be evident during trial.

LAKE HAVASU CITY – A couple of Lake Havasu City fraud case victims flipped the script at a change of plea hearing in Kingman, and essentially tried to conduct a mini-trial for defendant Edward Krown, 43.
Judge Doug Camacho had already accepted the plea agreement entered June 5, but that was before two of Krown’s victims railed against the defendant for 20 minutes or more.
