KINGMAN – City offices will be closed in observance of the New Year’s Day holiday Wednesday, January 1. In addition, there will be no commercial trash service on Wednesday. Wednesday commercial customers should put their cans out one day late; residential customers will not be affected. KART will not operate Wednesday.
Angela Flores of Lake Havasu City has been named to the Dean’s List at Paul Smith’s College for the fall 2019 semester. Flores, majoring in Culinary Arts, earned a semester average of 3.3 or higher to receive this distinction. Paul Smith’s College is a four-year institution of higher education in the Adirondacks.
KINGMAN – Make dinner a selfless act by joining Beale Street Theater for a fundraiser to support Kingman Center for the Arts (KCA). The event will be held at Chipotle, 3455 Stockton Hill Rd., on Saturday, Jan. 18 from 5 to 9 p.m. Tell the cashier you are supporting the fundraiser and 33% of proceeds will be donated to KCA. BULLHEAD CITY – One dog remains at large, one was rescued and a third perished in a mobile home fire in the 1300 block of Ramar Rd., on Saturday, Dec. 28. The residents of the home were able to evacuate safety; two women were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation, and taken to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center for evaluation. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
