Kingman Parks and Recreation closures

KINGMAN – City of Kingman Parks and Recreation Department has closed its doors to the public, following the new guidance from Governor Ducey’s office. Per the Governor, golf courses are to remain open during this time, however, the city is closing park restrooms, playgrounds, basketball courts, tennis courts, and ramada areas. Cerbat Cliffs Golf Course team members are sanitizing equipment, carts, and touch points to slow the spread of COVID-19. MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave County Department of Public Health (MCDPH)-Nursing has been notified this afternoon (4/5/20) of a positive COVID-19 case in the Lake Havasu City service area. The individual is in isolation and recovering at home. Our nurses are currently in the process of the contact investigation. There are now 10 positive confirmed cases in the Lake Havasu City area, six in Kingman, and two in Bullhead City. One of the 18 passed away and became the first COVID-19-related death in the county. Lions Club hosted Annual Golf Ball Drop

KINGMAN – Last year, the Kingman Mohave Lions Club held its annual 50/50 Golf Ball Drop, March 14, 2019 at Centennial Park. A crane and crew were provided  by Unisource, dropping thousands of golf balls on a baseball diamond in the park.  The ball which landed closest to the target stake located at the center of the drop zone was certified as the prize winner by Judge Dave Huerta This year’s winning ticket was purchased by local dentist, Susan Haynes, of Lets CU Smile Dentistry, whose total winnings came to $2777.50.
