Decision seeks to address natural resource and public safety impacts caused by overpopulated herd  KINGMAN – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Kingman Field Office will begin gathering and removing approximately 1,000 wild burros in September 2020 to address overpopulation and damage to the range in the Black Mountain Herd Management Area (HMA) near Kingman. KINGMAN – Fire heavily damaged a Kingman home Tuesday. Assistant Fire Chief Keith Eaton said personnel responded just before noon to a report of heavy smoke in the 3300 block of Fairfax Street. “Crews found one occupant being helped from the structure by neighbors. She was unharmed and refused treatment,” Eaton said. He said five neighbors were evaluated for smoke inhalation but all declined further treatment. Eaton said firefighters attacked the fire at the rear of the residence.
