BOULDER CITY, Nev. – The National Park Service has issued permits to Las Vegas Scuba, LLC and Scuba Training and Technology Inc., to provide guided technical dives on the World War II B-29 vintage plane. The plane crashed into Lake Mead July 21, 1948, while engaged in high-altitude atmospheric research. MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified this afternoon of 18 new confirmed COVID-19 cases. There are also two deaths from previously reported cases. One of the two deaths is a 50-59 year age range person in the Lake Havasu City service area. The other is a 70-79 person in the Bullhead City service area. LAKE HAVASU CITY – Two occupants were injured in a residential structure fire in Lake Havasu City Monday. Lake Havasu firefighters responded at 7:30 a.m. to the incident in the 2000 block of Guest Lane. “The first arriving fire company reported a large fire from the back side and throughout the inside of the residence,’’ a news release said. “Firefighters had to remain outside the house to fight the fire due to extreme conditions.” Crews gained control of the blaze in about 30 minutes.
