Two companies selected to provide guided diving on Lake Mead submerged B-29 sites

BOULDER CITY, Nev. – The National Park Service has issued permits to Las Vegas Scuba, LLC and Scuba Training and Technology Inc., to provide guided technical dives on the World War II B-29 vintage plane. The plane crashed into Lake Mead July 21, 1948, while engaged in high-altitude atmospheric research. MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified this afternoon of 18 new confirmed COVID-19 cases. There are also two deaths from previously reported cases. MOHAVE COUNTY – Department of Public Health Director Denise Burley was able to share some good news on several COVID-19 battlefronts during Monday’s Mohave County Board of Supervisors meeting. Two injured in house fire

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Two occupants were injured in a residential structure fire in Lake Havasu City Monday. Lake Havasu firefighters responded at 7:30 a.m. to the incident in the 2000 block of Guest Lane. “The first arriving fire company reported a large fire from the back side and throughout the inside of the residence,’’ a news release said. “Firefighters had to remain outside the house to fight the fire due to extreme conditions.” Crews gained control of the blaze in about 30 minutes.
