MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office has been made aware of non-specific threats to schools nationwide. Several vague and anonymous social media posts have encouraged acts of violence to occur at schools across the country today, December 17. While the origin of the threats remains unknown, the Sheriff’s Office takes this information very seriously. We have not been made aware of any threats to any schools in Mohave County. MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a stolen motorhome. On Wednesday (12/15), deputies received information that the motorhome had been stolen from the area of Black Rock Rd. (Interstate 15 exit 27). The vehicle was thought to have been stolen sometime Sunday evening or Monday morning (12/12 and 12/13). The motorhome is described as a 1997 Monaco Executive, white in color with green and gold decals. BULLHEAD CITY – On Tuesday, Dec. 14, at 10:30 a.m., 501 Mohave Electric Cooperative (MEC) members in Golden Shores experienced an outage due to an agricultural vehicle hauling a cut palm tree. The outage occurred when the palm tree came into contact with MEC lines. Crews responded to repair the line, restoring power to all members at 12:32 p.m. The outage affected members in the southwestern territory of Golden Shores, Arizona. Outage restoration is very important to Mohave Electric Cooperative and every effort is made to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. Santa’s Hualapai Wonderland was held 5-9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10 and Saturday, Dec. 11 at Hualapai Mountain Park. Visitors enjoyed the lights on historic cabins decorated for the holidays, along with live music and perhaps were able to encounter the Grinch.
