LAKE HAVASU CITY – For the past 12 years, Havasu Balloon Festival has been bringing their balloon festival and fair to the community.  The three-day event will have many photo opportunities available for balloons ascending to the skies.  Spectators will have a chance to get up close views of balloons as they lift off.  There is an entry fee to access the carnival.  The rides cost $1 for four tickets. KINGMAN – The City of Kingman is providing a drop-off place for Christmas trees. This will be for Christmas trees only. The trees need to be clean of all lights and decorations, so they can go through the wood chipper for recycling. The designated drop-off location is at the City of Kingman Public Works Building, 3700 E. Andy Devine Ave. The area is at the north end of the property and well-marked with signs. Trees can be dropped off seven days a week from 6:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. The program runs until February 16.

KINGMAN – The vintage Las Vegas Boulevard Cupid’s Wedding Chapel neon will be renovated into Kingman’s newest roadside landmark in February 2024. The sign will be located 200 feet west of the famous Route 66 Drive Thru Shield, directly across Route 66 from Dunton Motors Dream Machines in Downtown Kingman. The sign cabinet came into the possession of the late Scott Dunton, whose last name is behind the ‘D’ in the famous Mr. D’z Route 66 Diner.
