LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) said a Bullhead City woman was driving the wrong way on US-95 in Las Vegas when the 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser she was operating struck four other vehicles on Saturday, Dec. 9. The driver, Antonia Apton, 50, was fatally injured as was another female adult and a child. 2.2 million Arizonans traveling for the year-end holidays

A near-record number of Arizonans are expected to travel during one of the busiest holiday periods AAA has tracked in more than 20 years. More than 115.2 million people are expected to travel between December 23 and January 1. That number is 2.2 percent higher than last year and marks the second-highest number since 2000. LMNRA will have cashless entry Jan 1

Beginning January 1, 2024, Lake Mead National Recreation Area will transition to a cashless fee collection system, accepting only electronic card payments for entrance, lake use, and campground fees. Entrance stations will continue to sell passes but will no longer accept cash for payment. The new system is adopted as a best practice that will be safer, more efficient, will cut down on visitor entry times, and will be more cost effective.
