With more than 30 years of experience in soccer as a player, coach, author and educator, Podeyn brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for the sport to Northwestern Arizona. A group of roadside wildfires collectively cover more than a 3,800-acre area about seven miles northwest of Seligman. The Arizona Department of Forestry took command of the Aubrey Wildfire complex on Tuesday. A vehicle traveling along Historic Route 66 is suspected to have sparked the fires early Tuesday afternoon. “We know it was human caused,” said fire information officer Tiffany Davilla. She said it suspected that a vehicle dragging a chain or something else may have sparked the fires, most of them small, but three of them grew together to cover substantial acreage.
