City Slurry Crews Begin Overnight Work Sunday with Significant Road Closures

BULLHEAD CITY, AZ., February 28, 2023 – Hancock Road from Highway 95 to Colorado Blvd will be closed one section at a time Beginning Sunday, March 03, at 8 p.m. while City street maintenance crews work overnight to apply a slurry seal as a part of the City Street Maintenance Program (CSMP). A second lift of slurry will be applied the following week in the same order.   Both east and westbound traffic will be detoured around the maintenance during the road closures. Solid Waste Container Replacement Continues

KINGMAN, Ariz. – The City of Kingman Solid Waste Department has begun the next phase of removing the 300-gallon and 1.5-yard steel shared containers from alleys and giving each customer their own 90-gallon container to be placed at the front of their homes. There will be no additional charge for having an individual container instead of a shared one in the alley. For those customers getting a replacement container, trash pick-up days will remain the same. This project will be completed in multiple phases over the next few years. City Begins Eastern Street Realignment Project

KINGMAN, Ariz. – The City of Kingman has begun work on the highly anticipated Eastern Street realignment project. This project was budgeted as part of the City’s FY24 5-Year Capital Improvement Plan, to create a more cohesive traffic flow for that area of town. Over the next few weeks, there will be some ancillary work on the channel, box culverts, and waterline realignment. During the first phase of the project, traffic impacts should be minimal.  Further updates will be given when the team starts constructing the new roadway.
