MCC student selected as 2024 Coca-Cola Academic Team Gold Scholar

MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College is proud to announce, Jennifer Schaefle has been selected as a 2024 Coca-Cola Academic Team Gold Scholar, this means she has been awarded a $1,500 scholarship. Schaefle was one of 50 students across the country to have received this scholarship. This is the second time she has been honored by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation. In 2023 she was recognized as a Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholar, which earned her a $1,000 scholarship. Inaugural Golden Valley Poppy Days Celebration

GOLDEN VALLEY – Golden Valley will hold its first ever Golden Valley Poppy Days Celebration on Friday and Saturday, May 3 and 4. The event will be held at the American Legion Post #22, 3435 N. MOHAVE COUNTY  – Mohave County Animal Shelter will be holding a Clear the Shelter Adoption Event on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Have you heard that they are moving into their brand new facility soon? They need to have many animals adopted beforehand to make the move easier on all involved. There will be adoption subsidies – adult dogs over 40 pounds are $25; adult cats are $50; puppies five to eight months are $50. MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College Soccer recently wrapped up its spring Boys Camp, with Athletic Director and Men’s Soccer Head Coach Camilo Valencia noting regional interest in the program evidenced by the camp’s number of talented out-of-town attendees.
