Saving seeds workshop offered

KINGMAN – Mohave County Master Gardeners will present a Saving Seeds (Tomatoes) workshop on Saturday, May 18 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Mohave County Extension Office, 101 E. Beale St. Join them to learn why you should save seeds, how to do it, and how to property store them so they remain viable. They will also share which tomato varieties grow well locally. Bullhead City kicks off summer park season

BULLHEAD CITY –The City of Bullhead City is excited to announce the official start of the summer season Friday, May 10. Visitors who are not residents of Bullhead City will be required to pay $20 for parking at the park. For residents of Fort Mohave and Laughlin, the City offers a $50 season pass which can be purchased at City Hall. This pass, which requires a government-issued ID to verify residency, allows unlimited parking throughout the summer. Golf tourney to benefit JAVC

KINGMAN – Origin Mining will be hosting a job fair and golf tournament at Cerbat Cliffs Golf Course on Saturday, June 15, to benefit the Jerry Ambrose Veterans Council (JAVC). The JAVC provides vital services such as housing assistance, job training, and healthcare access to veterans in need. Cost is $110 per player, or $440 per team of four, and includes sway, lunch, and awards. There will be prizes for hole-in-one, longest drive, best dressed team, and closest to the pin.
