KRMC announces security incident involving its public website

Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) announced today that it is mailing letters to some patients whose information may have been involved in a recent incident involving the KRMC website. On April 8, 2019, KRMC was notified that there was a possible security problem with its public website. KRMC immediately shut down the website and began to investigate. A leading third party forensic firm was hired to assist in the investigation. Kingman City Council approves preliminary budget; discuss fee waivers

The Kingman City Council has preliminarily approved the proposed budget for the next fiscal year. Tentative adoption of the budget June 4 means that it can go no higher, though adjustments within the spending plan can occur before final approval by the Council. Financial Services Director Tina Moline said the general fund totals $34.5-million, about 63% of that dedicated to police and fire operations. She said a $47-million earmark for the Interstate 11 East Kingman Connection initiative highlights the capital project list. MCSO deputy/K-9 teams keep Mohave County safe

The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Program has had a direct impact on the “war” on illegal drugs since September 2017 when the program was reinstituted by Sheriff Doug Schuster. The teams have been called out 160 times, conducted 59 drug sniffs – 57 of those calls ended in arrests and $95,102 cash was seized. Martin accepts plea deal after sex sting

A Lake Havasu City man snared in an undercover sting operation targeting men preying upon underage women entered a plea agreement in Kingman Thursday. Daniel Martin, 33, pleaded guilty to the reduced charge of attempted luring a minor for sexual exploitation. Martin is one of nine men from Lake Havasu, Bullhead City, Kingman and Las Vegas who were indicted for allegedly attempting to have sex with someone they believed to be a teenager who was actually a Mohave County Sheriff’s office detective.
