BOULDER CITY, Nevada – Lake Mead National Recreation Area welcomed 7.5 million recreation visitors to the park in 2018, according to figures released by the National Park Service. For the second year in a row, it is the sixth most visited park in the entire National Park Service. Nationally, visitation to America’s national parks in 2018 exceeded 300 million recreation visits for the fourth consecutive year. KINGMAN – On Thursday, February 28, Corporal Stacey Mayo has retired from the Kingman Police Department (KPD) after 25 years of service.  Mayo  was hired by KPD in February 1994; promoted to Corporal in 1998; and assigned to the School Resource Program in January 1999.  Having served for over 20 years as a SRO, Mayo  was a valuable team member and driving force in the success of the SRO program and the Junior Police Academy. KINGMAN – On Thursday, February 28, City of Kingman Mayor Jen Miles and the Kingman Clean City Commissioner Clerence Russell awarded certificates and prizes to top winning students in the 2019 American Recycles Day poster and essay contest at the Power House Visitor Center. Seven local schools, 33 classrooms, and 661 students from kindergarten through eighth grade participated.
