UniSource Energy Services electric customers will enjoy summer bill savings that average more than $21 per month thanks to reduced natural gas and power prices. The Arizona Corporation Commission approved UniSource’s request to apply an energy cost credit of 1.85 cents per kilowatt-hour (kWh) to its electric bills from June 1 to Sept. 30. Manager Mike Hendrix has informed the Mohave County Board of Supervisors that staff is preparing to transition to Mohave County operation of the animal shelter located in downtown Kingman. During the May 17 budget workshop, Hendrix told supervisors that the Lake Havasu City-based Western Arizona Humane Society (WAHS) no longer wants to operate the shelter through contract with the county. All seven full-time employees of Go Lake Havasu, which provides destination marketing to Lake Havasu City, have earned their certification as Autism Travel Professionals. The certification process involved a four-hour online training session and exam created by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES).
