Board of Supervisors approves soil stabilization and constructions for several roads

MOHAVE COUNTY – For some Mohave County drivers, it will be “smooth sailing” and less wear and tear on their vehicles due to a recent approval of an agenda item by the Board of Supervisors at their monthly meeting. The County’s Road Division currently maintains more than 2,000 miles of roads of which 802.96 miles are paved. However, because of the recent approval by the Board of Supervisors, more than 30 more miles will receive soil stabilization and/or construction starting in the fiscal year 2019-2020. The Mohave County Probation Department announces the appointment of Natalie Eggers to Deputy Director of Juvenile Court Services. Natalie has been in service to the Department and court for eight years. Natalie began her career with Mohave County Probation as the Juvenile Intake Officer in Bullhead City. Since that time, she has been involved with every aspect of juvenile probation operations serving as a line officer in Kingman On-Duty Officer/Interstate Compact for Juveniles, Standard Supervision, Juvenile Intensive Probation Supervision, and Juvenile Drug Court prior to her promotion to Deputy Probation Officer Senior. City of Kingman, Foggin, wants to get bond for Interchange project

Kingman City Manager Ron Foggin outlined the anticipated funding partnership for the Rancho Santa Fe Interchange and Parkway project at a June 20 news conference. Foggin said the state of Arizona, the City of Kingman, and the private sector plan to share in the infrastructure investment projected in excess of $46-million. Legislation that local representative Regina Cobb helped bring to fruition commits $20-million in state funding for the initiative. Mohave County has formally taken over the animal shelter

The Kingman animal shelter formerly operated under contract with the Western Arizona Humane Society (WAHS) is transitioned to Mohave County management. The switchover occurred Monday as the former contract expired with the start of the new fiscal year. The county retained Nicole Mangiameli who will manage the operation as Animal Care Supervisor. She said all 13 employees who worked for WAHS keep their jobs under the county regime. “I have a large laundry list of new things do, along with new protocols and I’m loving every minute,” Mangiameli said.
