Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) announced today that it is mailing letters to some patients whose information may have been involved in a recent incident involving the KRMC website. On April 8, 2019, KRMC was notified that there was a possible security problem with its public website. KRMC immediately shut down the website and began to investigate. A leading third party forensic firm was hired to assist in the investigation. The Kingman City Council has preliminarily approved the proposed budget for the next fiscal year. Tentative adoption of the budget June 4 means that it can go no higher, though adjustments within the spending plan can occur before final approval by the Council. Financial Services Director Tina Moline said the general fund totals $34.5-million, about 63% of that dedicated to police and fire operations. She said a $47-million earmark for the Interstate 11 East Kingman Connection initiative highlights the capital project list. Mohave County is taking government to the people in Lake Havasu and Bullhead City. Member Ron Gould’s proposal to hold regular board meetings beyond the county seat community of Kingman was approved during Monday’s Board of Supervisors meeting. It’s still cool to be a cop. That’s one of the messages of a new recruitment campaign the city of Kingman is rolling out hoping to find the best available people to serve its police department. Two companies are partnering in development and operation of a $3-billion renewable energy data center about 12 miles south of Kingman. Solar panels are already arriving for assembly at the 717 acre site off of Interstate 40. Pegasus Group Holdings and Plus Minus Power have crews constructing “The Hive” which will generate 340 Megawatts of electricity, nearly half the output of Hoover Dam. Pegasus Group Holdings, a technology infrastructure corporation that develops renewable energy projects, today announced that it has selected Mohave County, Arizona for the development of its new $3 billion, 340 Megawatt solar powered data center.
