Free drive-in movie to celebrate MCC 50th Anniversary

KINGMAN – The Mohave Community College Foundation Kingman Chapter and Anderson Toyota invite the public to a free Drive-In Movie event to celebrate MCC’s 50th Anniversary on Thursday, June 3. Entry begins at 7 p.m. and the movie begins at 8 p.m. The event will be held at the Kingman campus, 1971 Jagerson Ave. The college was founded in 1971, and the MCC foundation will be showing the 1971 release of Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory. Superior Court Clerk position remains open; deadline for applying has been extended

MOHAVE COUNTY – Arizona Governor Doug Ducey has extended the timeline for filling the vacancy created by last month’s resignation of Virlynn Tinnell as Clerk of Mohave County Superior Court. Presiding Judge Charles Gurtler promoted deputy director Christina Spurlock to serve as interim Clerk until the Governor can fill the post by appointment. Applications were initially required by May 17 but the deadline for making application has been extended to June 4. Governor spokesman C.J. Lawsuit Filed Against Frontier Communications over Internet Speed Misrepresentations

Company failed to deliver promised Internet speeds PHOENIX – Attorney General Mark Brnovich, along with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and a coalition of law enforcement agencies from five other states, filed a lawsuit against Frontier Communications (Frontier), alleging that the company did not provide many consumers with internet service at the speeds it promised and charged many for more expensive and higher-speed service than Frontier actually provided.
