LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Lake Havasu Area Chamber Ambassadors held a ribbon cutting ceremony for Metro Tax & Financial Services celebrating its new Chamber membership. OATMAN – Two write-in candidates have unseated incumbents in a special recall election in the Oatman Fire District. Results from Tuesday’s balloting remain unofficial pending canvas. A Mohave County Elections Department post indicates challenger Darin Lowrey knocked off board chairman James Tobin 25-4. Challenger Ronnie Walker beat Board Clerk Mike Gonzales 24-0. KINGMAN -The Kingman City Council has approved manager Ron Foggin’s request to send a letter of support to Arizona’s Congressional delegation in support of an initiative to designate Route 66 as an Historic Trail. Foggin said the effort that began more than five years ago appears to be gaining steam and is beneficial for Kingman. “One of our treasures and reasons we have thousands of visitors is Route 66,” Foggin said. “Our economy is tied to Route 66 and the visitors.” Foggin said the proposed designation could bolster efforts to maintain and improve the Mother Road and provide opportunity for the…
