The Mohave Community College Small Business Development Center (MCC SBDC) will host two upcoming workshop, free and open to the public. The workshops will be entitled “Write a Business Plan in 30 Days or Less” and “Start Showing Up Online: A Beginner’s Guide to Social Media Growth.” The workshop on writing business plans will be held Wednesday, March 20 from noon to 1 p.m., and will be presented by MCC SBDC Director Jeanette Pigeon. LAKE HAVASU CITY – Council members at the last city council meeting passed a motion regarding the city’s elections scheduling for primary and general dates. On February 9, the governor signed a house bill that changed the date of the primary election from August 6  to July 30. This was done to coordinate with the state’s laws regarding the primary and general election dates.  Council members passed a resolution for primary elections in Lake Havasu.This date will be on July 30 for three council member positions. BULLHEAD CITY – The Mohave County Airport Authority (MCAA), the City of Bullhead City, and the Laughlin Tourism Commission (LTC) have announced the establishment of the Laughlin Bullhead Airshow (LBAS) 501c3 Foundation. The LBAS Foundation’s governing board anticipates leveraging its non-profit status to access event and S.T.E.M. grants, provide sponsorship tax benefits, and budget post-event community donations. MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave County Development Services could lose its Director and top clerical staff member next week. Development Services Director Tim Walsh remains a finalist, along with Edward Dickie, for possible selection for the Kingman City Manager position. More than 40 people applied for the job following the contract termination for former City Manager Ron Foggin last August. MOHAVE COUNTY – The filing window opens Monday for dozens of prospective candidates seeking municipal or county office in northwest Arizona. The Mohave County Elections Department and City Clerk’s offices will begin accepting nominating petitions from potential office seekers who’ve been gathering signatures to qualify their campaigns for the July 30 primary election.
