Sheriff, State Senate debates slated

GOLDEN VALLEY – An Arizona State Senate Republican candidate debate will be held at The Café, 4095 Hwy. 68 from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 6. The event will be hosted by The Conservatives of Golden Valley. Candidates expected to attend are Hildy Anguis, Ashley Gerich and Kimberly Zanon. A debate between Mike Gannucio and incumbent Doug Schuster for Mohave County Sheriff will be from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 11 at The Café, 4095 Highway 68. Aerial tourism management plan sought

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Park Service (NPS) announce the availability of a proposed commercial air tour management voluntary agreement for Lake Mead National Recreation Area. This agreement would guide the FAA and NPS in the management of commercial air tours over the park.  The proposed voluntary agreement addresses many unique challenges while improving the condition of park resources and ensuring safe air tour operations. It was developed between the FAA, seven air tour operators, and the NPS in consultation with Native American Tribes. A 30-day public review period on the proposed agreement began on March 20, 2024….

County begins online permit process

MOHAVE COUNTY – A long awaited shift in the process of submitting applications for county permits is now up and running. County residents can now submit applications electronically, and receive communication back from the county electronically, as well. This will resolve any need to come directly into the county offices to submit applications and plans. Online permitting is a major benefit to county residents, especially those in more rural areas not near a county office.
