Kino Avenue Waterline Project Update

-Willow Intersection Closed Next Week- KINGMAN – Beginning Monday, October 14, at 6 a.m., the Willow Road/Kino Avenue intersection will be closed until October 18, at 5 p.m. The section that is currently closed to Kenneth Road will also remain closed. Detours will be in place, but we urge the traveling public to drive slowly through detours, and give themselves extra driving time, while traveling through work zones. Housing support for homeless teen mothers

Arizona Youth Partnership’s (AZYP) is pleased to announce new funding for a statewide innovative  Starting Out Right for Homeless Parenting Youth Program (SOR HPYP).  This program will provide safe and stable housing and supportive services for pregnant and parenting youth, ages 16 – 22, and their child. AZYP will recruit families to host pregnant and parenting youth throughout seven (7) Arizona counties including of Gila, Mohave, Navajo, Pinal, and Yavapai, Maricopa and Pima.  AZYP Case managers will support host families and provide case management to the pregnant or parenting youth. Search for new police chief begins; Devries to retire next May

KINGMAN – Finding a new police chief will be Ron Foggins’ first major personnel task during his tenure as Kingman City Manager. Kingman Police Department Chief Bob Devries will end a 40-year law enforcement career when he retires early next May. Foggin said filling the position internally would be ideal. “My preference is always to look to promote from within,” Foggin said. “I’m going to look to see who is interested and who would be a good team player to add to the senior leadership team.
