Some boats evacuated during Havasu brush fire

HAVASU CITY – At approximately 10:40 p.m. on Sunday, October 20, several citizens reported a brush fire just north of Windsor State Beach on London Bridge Road. The first arriving fire company reported a three- to five-acre fire burning south towards the north end of the Jet Ski launch ramp. The fire was moving towards Wet Monkey Powersport Rentals shop where several pontoon boats and personal watercrafts were parked. Three Engine Companies and a Battalion Chief responded to the fire.
