OATMAN – A number of merchants in the historic mining town of Oatman oppose a western flavored enterprise proposed by an Aztec, New Mexico businessman. Tim McCarthy wants to develop “The Old 66 Ranch” about one mile outside of Oatman. “I’m looking at putting in a small western town with horseback rides,” McCarthy said during the January 8 meeting of the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission. “We’re putting in a zip line. BULLHEAD CITY – A Thursday, Jan. 23 open house aims to help inform the owners of hundreds of property parcels that may be impacted by updated flood maps proposed for portions of South Mohave Valley and Fort Mojave Tribal lands. The open house that runs from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. will take place at River Valley High School, located at 2250 Laguna Road. As of July 1, Klippenstein became MCC’s sixth president.
