KINGMAN – On Jan 11, the Friends of Mohve County Animal Shelter hosted its semi-regular Kingman Petsmart Dog Adoptions, at the Petsmart on Stockton Hill Rd. The event was hosted inside the Petsmart building, where customers were allowed to view a sample of dogs for potential adoption. The animal adoptions are an ongoing event according to shelter manager/supervisor Nicole Manigiameli, with the shelter hoping to be at Petsmart every weekend if they can. MOHAVE COUNTY – Three citizens were presented appreciation certificates and “golden grabber” trash pickers at the January 6 Mohave County Board of Supervisors meeting in recognition of their exhaustive efforts in collecting illegally dumped debris in the desert. Board Chairman Jean Bishop and Todd Davison, head of the Mohave County Environmental Clean-up Enforcement (ERACE) unit thanked Wayne Hollins, William Tilwillinger and Mark Schmiedeke.
