City offices in Lake Havasu City, Kingman, and Bullhead City will be closed on Monday, January 20, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Police and Fire Department services are unaffected, however administrative offices are closed. All City offices resume normal schedules on Tuesday, January 21. The Aquatic Center in Lake Havasu City is open for lap swim and exercise classes until 1:00 p.m. and the Community Center is open for Pickleball from 9:00 a.m. to noon. LAKE HAVASU CITY – Over the past six weeks, detectives with the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit investigated two incidents that occurred on November 25, 2019, at two retail stores located at 100 Retail Centre Blvd in Lake Havasu City. KINGMAN – A Kingman-grown business engaged in highly specialized repair, design and manufacturing activity has been sold to an out-of-state company. Laron Chief Executive Officer Glenn Thoroughman confirms the sale of Laron to the Ohio Transmission Corporation (OTC). Terms of the deal completed on January 14 are confidential. Thoroughman said the management team will remain in place, that the business will still be called “Laron” and that there are no plans for changes in the operation.
