COVID-19 update: 12 new cases, one death

MOHAVE COUNTY – Late Sunday afternoon, the Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified of 12 new confirmed COVID-19 cases. There was also one death from a previously reported case. It is a 70-79 year age range person in the Kingman service area. Of the 12 new cases, nine are in the Bullhead City service area. There are two cases in the Lake Havasu City area. All 12 cases remain under investigation. Of the 9 Bullhead City area cases, three are 20-29; two are 30-39; three are 50-59; one is 60-69. The Arizona Game and Fish Commission will consider approval of proposed Commission Orders 25 (raptors), 41 (amphibians), 42 (crustaceans and mollusks), and 43 (reptiles) at its Aug. 7 virtual meeting that begins at 8 a.m. The public will be able to view the meeting via webcast. The Commission Orders recommend seasons, season dates, bag and possession limits, and open/closed areas. The orders were available for a 30-day public comment period (May 7 through June 5), but constituents can still provide written comments up until or during the meeting. Two fatal traffic accidents in Bullhead City

BULLHEAD CITY – Fatal traffic accidents were reported about ten minutes apart Friday night in Bullhead City. Officers responded at 10:40 p.m. to a single vehicle rollover on Newberry Drive. Police Department spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said two men were ejected from a 2010 Chevrolet pickup truck. Both Bullhead City residents were flown to University Medical Center in Las Vegas. 20-year-old Jafet Villalobos died at the hospital. Fromelt said 19-year-old Esteban Lopez remains at UMC in stable condition. The second accident reported at 10:50 p.m. occurred on Highway 95 near Retail Way.
