BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City Fire Department (BHCFD) is excited to highlight the arrival of their five new engines. All of the new apparatus are E-One Typhoon engines that were custom-built for their department, with a 450 horsepower cummings engine, 750-gallon water tank, and 30-gallon CAFS (Compressed Air Foam System) also housed with a fitted Darly water pump. Each engine has a six-person capacity, rooftop storage compartments, large rear compartments, an enclosed ladder tunnel, LED lighting, and updated computer technology. KINGMAN – Construction will begin Monday, October 12, at 7:00 a.m. and continue through 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2020. The work will be in the Airway Avenue and Prospector Street intersection. Detours will be in place and flaggers may be used at times. The contractor, Kincheloe Construction, is working to insure access to residences and White Cliffs Middle School and Desert Willow Elementary School. Southern end of Bullhead City Parkway to Aztec Road: Work is scheduled to begin Sunday, Oct. 18, and will include the removal of the existing curb, gutter and sidewalk. MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College would like to congratulate two of its employees, Sharon Hanks on the Kingman campus and Laurel Clifford on the Lake Havasu campus. Both employees received service awards for their dedication to the college. Hanks has been with MCC for 30 years and Clifford for 20 years. Hanks was excited to receive the award and was able to achieve this goal. She said that maybe she will be the first one to make it to 40 years at MCC.
