CRUHSD school board selects three finalists for next superintendent

BULLHEAD CITY – Members of the Colorado River Union High School District have unanimously selected three finalists to be the district’s next superintendent.  One candidate is internal, one is external, and one previously served as a CRUHSD superintendent. The three are CRUHSD’s career-technical education (CTE) and college and career readiness (CCR) director Gina Covert, Sacaton Elementary School District superintendent Dr. Cherryl Paul, and former CRUHSD superintendent Monte Silk.  All three have strong Arizona ties. LAKE HAVASU CITY – In an effort to preserve our roadways, The Lake Havasu City Maintenance Services Division announces the nighttime closure of Lake Havasu Ave. from Mesquite Ave. to Swanson Ave. for routine maintenance. County Fairgrounds Manager terminated

KINGMAN – On May 6, 2021 at the Mohave Co Fair Association Board of Directors Meeting the board voted to terminate the fair manager’s employment agreement effective immediately. Tim Woods had been placed on paid administrative leave on Sunday May 2. A candidate search for the fair manager position is forthcoming. Karen Hughes, board member, is acting fair manager until the position is filled. All planned events will continue as scheduled. Robinson jailed

UPDATED May 7, 2021 3:55 p.m KINGMAN – A man who has many times accused various public officials of wrongdoing now faces possible prosecution for alleged drunk driving. Steven Claude Robinson, 65, was booked into the Adult Detention Center late Thursday, April 6 on a charge of driving under the influence to the slightest degree.
