Bullhead City’s new water company

BULLHEAD CITY – The City of Bullhead City took possession of EPCOR Water on Wednesday, Sept. 1 and began meter readings the same week. “I am proud to say the Utilities Department hit the ground running, with a new Utilities Director at the helm. We are in good hands and providing water to 21,000 properties,” said City Manager Toby Cotter. The bench vacancy was created last month when Commissioner Megan McCoy was promoted to serve out the term of retired Superior Court Judge Charles Gurtler. The Mohave County Superior Court Committee on Special Judicial Officer Appointments on Monday recommended that Prosecutor David Wayt and Legal Advocate Aaron Demke be considered for the Commission post. Airport parcel purchased

KINGMAN – A Colorado-based development company submitted the only bid for a 30-acre parcel at the Kingman Airport Industrial Park. KiernanWest LLC offered the minimum $1,975,000 required for the purchase in a bid opened Friday. Chief Operating Officer Mike O’Brien said the company isn’t ready to divulge details at this point. “We are doing a build to suit for a tenant that does package delivery,” O’Brien said. “Outside of that our tenant requires a high degree of confidentiality.” O’Brien said it may be a couple of months or more before project details are made public.
