BULLHEAD CITY – Interested and eligible Bullhead City residents are invited to submit applications and letters of interest for possible appointment to the seat left vacant by the death of Vice Mayor Kathy Bruck. The council veteran died in hospice care Tuesday, Oct.5 after suffering a massive stroke on Thursday, Sept. 30. Application materials must be submitted by Oct. 29 before they’ll be reviewed by a yet-to-be appointed committee. Deputy Secretary of the Interior proposes withdrawal for protection of Bill Williams River National Wildlife Refuge

The Deputy Secretary of the Interior proposes to withdraw 2,598 acres of public lands within the Bill Williams River National Wildlife Refuge, subject to valid existing rights. This withdrawal, which would replace the expiring withdrawal at the Refuge, would continue to protect the important wildlife habitat and recreation opportunities managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS).
