MOHAVE COUNTY – Prominent Mohave County citizens residing in Kingman, Lake Havasu and Bullhead City are under consideration for possible appointment to serve the Arizona State Transportation Board. They include Mohave County Manager Sam Elters, Lake Havasu City Council member Nancy Campbell and former Bullhead City Mayor Tom Brady. The county trio hope to fill the board seat held by Gary Knight, the Chairman from Yuma whose term of office expired in late Jan. LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Lake Havasu City council accepted and passed fiscal year audit results ending in June 30, 2023. The council also passed plans for Jack Hardie Park which will be undergoing renovations for current safety surface and playground adjustments and equipment in the amount of $131,734.   Lake Havasu water meters are running low and city council passed a motion for replenishments in the amount of $93,380. Board members also approved rezoning plans for the land at 700 London Bridge Road. The new urban development subdivisions will overlook Windsor Beach. To find out about future meetings visit, lhcaz.gov. LAKE HAVASU CITY – Havasu Silent Witness is seeking local residents to serve as volunteer members on the Board of Directors. Formed in 2000, Havasu Silent Witness endeavors to make a positive impact on crime in Lake Havasu City. Havasu Silent Witness is dedicated to creating a safer community by working in partnership with citizens, media, and the Lake Havasu City Police Department. While Havasu Silent Witness works closely with the Lake Havasu City Police Department, it is a separate, community-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
