BRENDA KAY INKS LUCERO

Brenda Kay Inks Lucero born to Howard Scott Guthrie and Ina Sue Guthrie (Lakey) on July 13, 1953 in Abilene, Texas and raised in California with her four siblings, Joanie Rogerson, Ann, Robbie and Jerry. Brenda was suddenly taken to be with the Lord on November 29, 2019. Brenda lived in Kingman since 2010 and worked for the Kingman School District for two years as a bus driver, where she met her husband Steven Lucero in October 2013 while both were working at the school district and later married in September 16, 2016. She left the school district to drive truck for Werner Enterprises with her husband for a couple years before coming off the road.

She leaves behind five children, Cheryl Blackwell, Susan Blackwell, Thomas Jolly, Marissa Inks, and Michelle Inks and a new daughter through marriage with Steven, Catherine Lucero (Noland White) and several grandchildren,  Dakota Carson Traylor, Felecia Lenea Jolly, Richard Levi Jolly, and four she gained through marriage Douglas and Sam Lucero, Jacob Lucero and Celine Lucero-White and great-grandchildren she called her own Tristan Lucero and Mylisa Lucero.

Brenda loved angels, ocean scenes and beach decorations. She always said, “Don’t mourn my passing but celebrate my life.” So on June 25, 2020 at Hilltop Four Square Church, 2215 E Emerson, Kingman, at 6 p.m., we will celebrate the life of Brenda Kay Inks Lucero. A facebook page in Brenda’s honor will also have live video of the service for those who are unable to attend.
