2020 Census begins preparations in Mohave County

At the Jan 15 meeting of the Mohave County 2020 Complete Count Committee, U.S. Census Bureau representative Kate McDonald presented a timeline for the completion of the 2020 Census in Mohave County. McDonald spoke about the continued need to educate the public about the Census, in conjunction with local organizations and businesses. Feliz acquitted in drug case; faces additional charges

LAKE HAVASU CITY – A Lake Havasu City man was found not guilty late Thursday at the conclusion of his drug trial in Kingman. A Superior Court jury deliberated about two hours before acquitting Timmy Feliz, 47, at the Mohave County Courthouse. Feliz had been charged with possession of dangerous drugs. Prosecutor Kellen Marlow said an ounce of methamphetamine seized during a May 22, 2019 traffic stop belonged to Feliz. Sweetheart dance slated

KINGMAN – The Kathryn Heidenreich Adult Center (KHAC) will host a Sweetheart Dance on Saturday, Feb. 15, from 1 to 3 p.m. The Adult Jam Band will be playing music, and there will be dancing, food and fun. The menu includes meat and cheese rollups, avocado veggie rollups, ambrosia salad, fruit, relish, and vegetable trays. Dessert will be provided by White Cliffs Senior Living.
