Two deaths, 28 positive COVID-19 cases in Mohave County

MOHAVE COUNTY – Havasu Regional Medical Center has informed the Mohave County Department of Public Health (MCDPH) of the death of an elderly person (65+) with underlying chronic health conditions. This is the second COVID-19-related death in Mohave County. The first was also an elderly person hospitalized with underlying chronic health conditions in Lake Havasu City. MCDPH nursing staff was notified late this afternoon, Wednesday, April 8, of two COVID-19 positive patients from the Kingman service area. Recent state and federal actions have expanded eligibility and benefit amounts for Arizona workers impacted by COVID-19. On March 20, Governor Ducey issued an Executive Order, later followed by the signing of legislation, ensuring those who are out of work or facing a loss of hours because of COVID-19 have access to unemployment benefits. Fairgrounds eyed for possible isolation and quarantine center

KINGMAN – The Mohave County Fairgrounds property in Kingman is being eyed as a possible isolation and quarantine center. Restaurants may re-sell grocery items during pandemic
