MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Library District has reopened library facilities to the public. Due to the pandemic, a number of changes have been made for the health and safety of library customers and staff. A trip to the library will temporarily be different than in the past, but the library is still able to connect customers with information and materials. BULLHEAD CITY – Now that plans are being finalized for three high school graduations at the Colorado River Union High School District’s Anderson Auto Group Fieldhouse, school officials are reminding graduating seniors, their family members, faculty and staff about health and safety guidelines from the State of Arizona.                 The Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) has released guidance for graduations, based upon guidelines from the U.S. Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), tailored to fit State needs.  Mohave County’s Department of Public Health also supports the guidance.                 Limited attendance and social distancing will be in place for…

The Mexican wolf recovery effort recently got a genetic boost when biologists from the Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD), New Mexico Department of Game and Fish (NMDGF), and Mexican Wolf Species Survival Plan (SSP), with extensive logistical support from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), worked together to cross-foster 20 genetically diverse wolf pups from captive facilities across the U.S. into litters of wild wolf packs.   Over a six-week period in April and May, 12 pups were fostered into four different packs in eastern Arizona and eight were fostered into three packs in western New Mexico.
