An airstrip? In a neighborhood?

Dear Editor, There is a storm brewing in SoHi Estates, a small, quiet community six miles northwest of Kingman. The cause? Angry residents here are up in arms about a proposed airplane landing field being slated for construction in a location that will have planes flying at very low altitudes and low speeds directly over numerous private homes. The developer of this impending disaster plans to build this runway atop a hogback ridge in a canyon that offers three steep opposing mountainside faces in dangerous proximity to any expected flight activity. Kingman deserves a town hall meeting

Dear Editor, As a concerned citizen of Kingman, I try to keep up with current issues and local news through newspapers, social media, and word of mouth. Kingman is growing and that growth comes with needed change. Change can be viewed from many perspectives and as one of you, I see change like the man on the street sees it. I see that a fast-growing number of residents are respectfully upset about community issues like road improvement and maintenance; rising taxes; population density; rezoning; infrastructure and the list goes on. So, what does a concerned citizen of Kingman do? They…
