LAKE HAVASU CITY – If you’re someone who is all geared up for some early Spring cleaning, you’re in luck. The Lake Havasu High School Band Boosters Annual Rummage Sale is still accepting donations, and it’s for a good cause!   Fundraising for the band happens throughout the year, and this would be the start of it.  The high school’s band rummage sale is now accepting gently used items that are functioning such as electronics, furniture, clothes, and much more. Donated items can be brought to the high school’s band room where they will be kept in the band’s trailer located outdoors.   Pickups are allowed…

James R “Jim” Westfall, Sr.

Jim Westfall passed away on February 2, 2024, at the age of 84.  Jim was born to Virginia Gulick and Ralph Westfall in December 1939 in Dearborn, Michigan.  He spent several years in Tucson. AZ.  After being honorably discharged from the Marines he moved to the town he loved, Kingman, AZ, almost 60 years ago.   Jim enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was active in several civic organizations over the years including the Jaycees and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.  He spent much of his career working in sales in the insurance and real estate fields, ending his…

Shuffler plea deal imminent

KINGMAN – It appears the community of Kingman may be spared from the heartache and drama of trial for a local teenager charged in the deaths and injuries of fellow student athletes from Lee Williams High School. Attorneys have apparently reached a plea agreement that will resolve the criminal case against Brady Shuffler, 16. Terms of the proposed agreement won’t be made public until they are unveiled during the 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 9 hearing before Mohave County Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle.
