Work on new cycle shop temporarily stopped

KINGMAN – A license suspension has resulted in work stoppage at a commercial construction site where a new contractor will soon be on the job in downtown Kingman. Minuteman Building owner Jeff Erb said the Arizona Registrar of Contractors suspended his license last month due to an administrative issue rather than poor performance. Erb said oversight and failure to pay its bond produced the suspension. He said he is working through that matter and expects to have his license reinstated in less than a week. McDaniel sentenced to 20 years

BULLHEAD CITY – An elderly Mohave Valley man convicted of engaging in sexual relations with his former girlfriend’s pre-teen daughter has been given a 20-year prison term. Judge Billy Sipe ordered the double decade incarceration for Dennis McDaniel, 68, during a Friday sentencing hearing. A Mohave County Superior Court jury acquitted McDaniel of one count while convicting him of another sexual conduct with a minor charge at the conclusion of trial on Sept. 8.
