Search & Rescue recover body, injured hiker

recovered a body in one location and rescued a woman who fell into a well in recent days. Crews responded at about 5 p.m. Friday after hikers summoned help to an area near Craggy Wash north of Lake Havasu City. “They were hiking near a mountain peak and believed there was someone who needed help or may have been deceased, but could not get close enough to make that determination,” an S&R Facebook post said. BULLHEAD CITY – Authorities report the arrest of a transient they say is responsible for separate security incursions at the Laughlin Bullhead International Airport. Jerry Lee Hughes, 83, of Truxton, Arizona went to her heavenly home on October 6, 2023, surrounded by her daughters. Jerry was born to Thurman and Leslie Dobbins on October 26, 1939, in Garfield, New Mexico. Jerry was raised in New Mexico where she met the love of her life Leon and in 1967, they moved to Truxton, Arizona to raise their family. LAKE HAVASU CITY – In celebration of London Bridge Days, Lake Havasu’s Parks and Recreation will host their annual Youth Talent Show on Thursday, Oct. 26 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the stage under the London Bridge.  The Youth Talent Show was originally created by Donna Best-Carlton. Best-Carlton was the Recreation Supervisor for 30 years.
