River Riders host 40th annual toy run

LAKE HAVASU CITY – River Riders MC aren’t just passionate about riding motorcycles; they also love giving back during the holiday season. River Riders was founded upon a group of motorcycle rider enthusiasts. Alvreta Ione Buck, of Meadview, died Monday, November 6, 2023 at the age of 98. Buck was born March 23, 1925 in Hollywood, Calif. The family contact is her son Greg Buck. KINGMAN – Substantial progress is reported as a consultant conducts the Dross Site Remediation clean-up of a 15-acre site at the Kingman Airport. The smelting of 5,700 aircraft and burial of the aluminum waste product decades ago has resulted in a churning underground soup bubbling up and resulting in uneven surface. Project manager Pejman Eshraghi, an engineer with city consultant Haley & Aldrich, told the Airport and Industrial Park Advisory Commission at their Nov. 20 meeting that 75,000 tons of material will be hauled away from the Dross site. Vaughan trial underway

KINGMAN – Trial began Monday for a Kingman man charged with a variety of sex offenses involving two Kingman boys under the age of 15. Defense attorney Greg Pridham told a Mohave County Superior Court jury that Alexander Vaughan is innocent and should be acquitted of child molestation and eight counts of sexual conduct with a minor. Pridham instructed jurors to measure the testimony of the alleged victims to calculate contradictions and inconsistencies in their stories.
