BULLHEAD CITY – A woman and her dog safely evacuated a Saturday fire that spread from a residence in the 800 block of Roadrunner Dr. Bullhead City Fire Department spokeswoman Lori Viles said crews mounted an aggressive attack of the fire just after 4:00 p.m. Viles said spreading flames scorched a detached shed behind the home. “The blaze caused shrubbery along the perimeter chain-link fence to catch fire causing the fire to extend to two separate wooden sheds located in neighboring backyards on Stahlman Dr.,” she said. Area youth ages five through 15 are encouraged to come out to Dunton Fort Rock Ranch on Saturday, August 17 to participate in “Fishing for Smiles”, a free fishing day. The event will be held from 7 a.m. to noon. Pre-registration is required and youth must be accompanied by an adult. Bait is provided, and a limited number of fishing gear is available.
